We've been cooped up at home for the past couple weeks... Between the four of us, we've been sick since Christmas, and so we haven't been able to get back into the swing of our weekly routine until just yesterday. I was so glad to get out of the house with the boys! So I don't really have much to report... Not much excitement happens when you're sick at home.
I did take Cody to the doctor today for his six-month checkup, and I'm happy to report that he's doing well. He weighs in at about 18 and a half pounds (starting to taper off on the massive weight gain that's been going on for the first months of his life!) and measures about 27 inches long. Although he's now 6 months old, he hasn't quite hit the classic milestones of this age: rolling over (either way), sitting on his own, etc. He's on the verge of these things, and since he's been sick for the past couple weeks, I suppose we can cut him a little slack!
Now that Christmas is over and we're into the new year, we are starting to plan Nate's third birthday. I still can't believe my little baby is going to be three! Seriously, time is FLYING by. Every so often my eyes well up with tears; I want so badly to be able to push the "pause" button so I can enjoy my guys a little bit more while they're so young. Anyways, Nate is so very excited about his birthday, he talks about it to everyone, and asks every day if we can have his party. I actually discovered last night that he snuck a leftover party invitation into his bed and slept with it the entire night. Crazy kid!
